| Route Notes | Hayashi, Matsuoka, Omura and Lhakpa Sherpa proceeded from BC to reach C2 on 14 Oct. While two of their Sherpas Lhakpa Nurbu and Temba Wangdi along with Ang Jangbu of Denicolo team (Italian) and Phurba Thundu of Austrian Einwaller were making way and trying to pitch C2 for climbers. One of the members of Hayashi team at 6200m did not feel well (headache) and they turned around. The avalanche occured around 12:30 hours and swept the sherpas from C2. Denicolo of Italian team leader went up to see if anybody alive. He found the dead body of Phurba Thundu at about 5300m and no trace of other Sherpas. The expedition team returned to Kathmandu on 27 Oct. Two members will leave Kathmandu on 29th and leader Hayashi is going for Langtang trek with a trekking member. Hayashi will return on 11 Nov and leave on 12th.
