Route Notes BC at between 2 lakes below Gorak Shep. Poulton reached 6300m at 1:00-2:00 pm on 28 Oct (had seen "a lot of activity" of falling seracs at night falling from left of East Shoulder) and when got to C1 site couldn't see safe way above so decided to abandon climb. Ball and Williams went to 6200m on 28th, saw danger of falling seracs above and retreated. Allen went to ABC on 27th, had headache all night from not acclimatizing well and went down to BC where he recovered.
