Route Notes On 15 May team climbed to 5900m (C2) to have a look at the route. It took them 5 hours to C2 and 3 hours to go back to BC. On summit push on 18 May the team started at 2:30 am, got to C2 at 5 am. Above C2 at 6100m they crossed a 3-meter crevasse by sliding on a fixed rope that was already there. They clipped in with their harnesses and slid across. When they got to 6700m the weather closed in and they dug an ice cave as they thought they might stay the night. They waited 1-1/2 hours till 10:30 am and weather cleared. They carried on but were stopped by a 5-meter crevasse at 6900m. They looked for another way for about one hour and decided that it was too dangerous. They went to BC, where they arrived at 5 pm.
