Route Notes BC northwest near a lake 2nd BC at nature site northeast of Kalapattar near another lake C1 on South Face. 1st attempted to reach South Ridge from northwest of Kalapattar up to ridge: reached ridge and went along it westward to point 6185 where smaller ridge joins from west by Guldenfels, Iten, Kobel and Silbernagel on 27th so back to BC. Because snow conditions bad with many cornices in left and right, abandoned this approaches and left this BC on 29th-31st and set up new BC at normal site for SE Face very low on face but 5630m; slept there and 2 Nov to 2nd BC (this by all members). 5th all started for top; but Werffeli turned back at about 6350m slightly sick and down to BC while other 6 to top. Left C1 to go up at 8:00 am and on top at 2:30 pm and down to C1 at 5:30 pm. Not difficult above deep snow get less deep at 6600m; no avalanching, not very cold and wind.
