Route Notes BC at south end of little lake southeast of mountain High point at 6500m on west side of SSW Ridge. Above BC climbed on East Face of SSE Ridge to Col at this ridge stop and start of SSW Ridge. Intended to camp at Col but pure ice so did not sleep there. Fixed 500m to Col for easy retreat during 10 days (20-30 April) and reached then 4 times. 6 & 7 May climbed side of ridge, never more than 100m below ridge. Got to 6500m intending to drop on to west face of ridge but snow was like sugar on 75-80 degree slope. No firm hold here; Pierrick using 2 ice axe slipped back. Planned to summit on 8th, but attempt abandoned. Weather good.
