They left C2 for the top at 4:00 am, moving up the snow ridge to 5888m, where the final section of the route led up difficult bare rock. Here they stopped, turned around and descended to C1. The two members returned to BC the next day. The other three members, brothers Akira and Koichi Kato and Isie, and the same two Tamangs (who came up from C1) left C2 on 5 October at 7:00 am, and they in turn stopped at 5888m, at 12 noon. They went down to BC on the same day. The climb was over. Tamangs: Dhan Kumar, 4/12/85 (19/8/2042), Deusa, Solu, no 8000ers Pasang, 4/12/68, Deusa, Solu, Everest X3 |
