Route Notes BC at Khumbu Glacier east of Kalapattar C3 at small cave High point at NW Summit. Route just below C2 very steep and difficult snow like sugar (used ice axe as shovel) and many cornices. In the end Dujmovits climbed alone. Others ill, unmotivated or psychologically unprepared for Himalayan conditions. Team had fixed ropes to 6800m. On 1 Nov Dujmovits alone up from C2 and reached C3, fixed 100m above C3 and slept in C3. On 2 Nov he went to NW Summit in 4-1/2 hours. As he was alone too dangerous to go beyond NW Summit. Very disappointed not to go beyond because is possible to reach Main Summit in 2 days. Very strong winds constantly. Total 1700m rope fixed by this expedition.
