Route Notes BC at 5100m at west side of Lhotse Nuptse Glacier, east of a Col Biv at 6000m on SE Spur (same route as Jeff Lowe) Biv at 6100m on SE Spur Biv at 6300m on SE Spur Biv at 6500m on SE Spur High point at SE spur. 1st attack on mountain 4 Oct and reached 5900-6000m. Slept there but bad weather and down next morning. 2nd attack 7 Oct started 1:00 from BC and arrived 6000m first day and 4 bivouacs above. 10 Oct climbed to 6700m but much snow on the rock above 6200m and snow was soft (Jeff Lowe had bare rock). In steep parts bad snow, not so difficult parts, snow waist deep. 12 Oct down to BC and climb abandoned in view of fact weather going to continue bad. After made BC, made visit to Everest BC to look at north face of Nuptse for possible descent route.
