Route Notes At ABC Fowkes developed symptoms of cerebral edema, so both went down couple of days hoping he'd get better but didn't. Gunson back up on 26th alone, established C2, went up little from C2 but too difficult to climb safely by one man. On 28th went to 20,200 ft and then retreated same day to BC. Were on SE Face; found Japanese ABC and a bit of rope in couloir. Gunson fell 20 ft during climb alone but no harm done. Report released by ministry incorrect about altitudes because Fowkes set altimeter wrong.
