Route Notes Himalayan Club Newsletter 2003 This was one of the rare expeditions in the north Sikkim area after many years to attempt Nepal Peak. They followed the route from Gangtok to Lachen and then via Yakthang and Yabuk, rest camp and established their base camp on the Nepal Gap Glacier. The base camp was established at 3900m and C3 was established on the SE Ridge of Nepal Peak at 6620m. On 21st October, 3 members climbed the South Ridge to the summit of Nepal Peak. This was one of the rare ascents of this peak. The summit was reached by the leader with Ms. Claudia Carl and Johann Paul Hinterwimmer.
