Route Notes BC at lower BC site C1 at some team's BC. C4 at North Col High point at North Col (C4). Planned summit bid from C4 on night of 5/6 Oct, but wind made impossible to move up. Forno had taken wrong boots so he descended to C3 while others on C4. Pennati and Ang Thile Sherpa tried to go up with tent to make C5 but after 50m gave up and all down. Forno and Ang Thile down to BC, helping an exhausted Spaniard to get down. Other Italians to C3 on 7th with hope to go up; 2 did go to C4 on 8th (Blanc and Spazzadeschi). 9th Forno left BC and all others reported they were descending but Blanc and Spazzadeschi said they wanted to try with Swiss. All 9 remaining members left BC 13th Oct. Blanc and Spazzadeschi did want to try for summit bid but reached only C4 and then turned back because of winds. They had arrived at C4 on 8th Oct and stayed there till 12th and down.
Accidents None until Oct 9 morning when Forno left; nothing afterwards
