Route Notes BC at normal site of a low BC C3 on NE Face High point at NE Face. Snowed 1st April to 16th April everyday; of 40 days at and above BC, 29 days snowfall and strong wind and very dangerous frequent avalanching. On 6th April Dellatorre and Dawa hoped to go to summit with one biv, but Dawa developed altitude sickness only 15m above C3 and had to retreat to C3. 7th Dawa still sick and heavy snowfall, so down to BC in dangerous snow conditions. Wanted to make another summit but bad weather to 17th. On 18th Barbieri & Giovanoli up but only to 6200m and again heavy snowfall, fog and strong wind, so same evening back to BC and climb finished.
Accidents Bay altitude sickness only (at 5000m); Dawa also at 6415m
