Route Notes BC at low site C2 at Naike Col. Made low BC because higher one too dangerous from avalanches; much bad weather. 3 times up to C1 and C2 and driven down by heavy snowfall and avalanche danger. 4th attempt by De Stefani and De Leo to C1 21st April, 22nd to C3 on direct route, not normal route. 25th bivouac at 6700m; 26th start at 5 am, 11:10 De Stefani on top while De Leo had problem at last 150m. Strong wind and De Stefani on top only 10 min; 12:30 return to biv; plan was to descend to C2 but De Leo unable to go below C4 that day and on 27th to BC. De Leo ran out of strength; feet frostbitten when he took off his boots. Papa reached C2, 4 other members to C3 only. 1 Tamang above BC to C3.
