Route Notes BC at normal site C1 at snow field at bottom of face C3 on snow face of NE Face High point at C3. Last half Sept much rain & snow. In Oct problem became the wind; also 10th Oct US members & Sherpas hit by avalanche which took them down 150m. Left BC 19th Oct. Had originally planned to go Makalu this winter, but this cancelled.
