| Route Notes | Report from Andreas Lattner: Approach: Dharapani->Larkya Pass->Samagaon BC 09/09 4800m C1 11/09 5600m C2 13/09 6300m C3 22/09 6850m Smt 01/10 by Lattner at 12:15 pm. Czerny and Lattner started together from the common Camp 3 at 6600m, since their own tent set up at 6850m was burried under an avalanche. Czerny turned around at 7400m at 6 am (too cold for her). Good weather and conditions until 12 pm, then weather started to change; white-out, wind and snowfall during the descent. Lattner together with four Iranians managed to find the tents of Camp 4 and 5 pm and spent the night there snowfall and wind during the night made the descent rather dangerous the next day (some avalanches). Oxygen was not used. The couple left BC on 3 Oct. |
