Route Notes Team abandoned expedition at 7000m due to avalanche risk and bad weather. Some members used oxygen, some did not. Team left on 24 Sept by heli from BC. Furtenbach Adventures Facebook (27 Sept 2022) Our entire team is safe and in basecamp. They decided to stay in C3 because of dangerous conditions that day the tragic events happened. After the avalanches they were involved all day in rescue efforts. Thank you lead guide Dave Watson and mountain rescue paramedic Pat Hauser and all our Sherpa team for your heroic efforts in helping other teams in this tragic event.
