Route Notes Jani Thorenfeldt Barfod Facebook (29 Sept 2022) Unfortunately, as some of you know, we had to end this year's expedition to Manaslu. The weather has not been on our side, which has created dangerous conditions in the mountains for our sirdar to find it reasonable to continue. On Monday 26/9 there was a big slide between C3 and C4 where many climbers were taken and some died. We were between C2 and C3 when it happened and heard and saw what happened. The panic shouting of the walkie-talkie of the Sherpas is in. When we later reached C3 we met several who had been right by and in the slopes. Torn thunders, crying people and heavy injured that were carried past us. We stayed in C3 the night before returning to BC and now on to Samagaon. Of course I'm sad that the dream of standing on top of the world 8. The tallest mountain did not come true this year, but the mountain stands and new opportunities are coming. Thanks to everyone who followed us during this year's expedition and thanks to mom who updated you when I was offline. (Sidenote: sleeping with an oxygen mask is not great as picture 2 shows) Jani
