| Route Notes | BC 09/09 4800m C1 13/09 5600m C2 18/09 6350m C3 19/09 6700m Smt 24/09 by Cho Cho arrived at summit at 6 am 25 Sept and spent 30 mins on the summit (so many flex’s to hold up!). Conditions: snow good, but after 25 Sept summit got cloudy. A lot of people so a lot of waiting along the ascent. At least 2-1/2 hr wait for photo. Descent: Cho direct down to BC on same day (25 Sept) arriving at 5 pm. Kim Kwon-Rae high point on 25 Sept just above 8000m, abandoned due to exhaustion (tired). Gave up at 2nd peak, before summit peak. Rested at C3 on 25th Sept, then descended to BC next day on 26th Sept. Team left BC to Samagaon 27th Sept, bad weather. Samagaon to Ktm on 29th Sept by heli. Oxygen: taken/used. Sherpas: Pechhumbe Sherpa, Makalu, 32 yrs (with Cho) Phurba Sherpa, Makalu, 28 yrs (with Kim) Pyeon Sang-Kyu returned home early, did not climb at all due to sickness. |
