Route Notes BC 13/09 C1 15/09 23/09 C2 16/09 24/09 C3 25/09 C4 26/09 Smt 27/09 at 06.50 am by Bak and Adam couple (stayed 15 minutes) All 5 members left for summit on 27/09 at 1 am. Piotr Kalinowski returned to C4 after half hour from 7600m (he was feeling sick). Rita Bladyko returned to C4 after 4 hours of climbing from 7900m (cold and exhausted). 1 Sherpa Mingma Ongdi was with the Adam couple [went down with Kalinowski?]. 1 Sherpa Ming Dukpa went down with Rita Bladyko. They returned to C4 at 10 am, immediately packed bags, Kalinowski was feeling fine, Bladyko was taking O2, drinking tea in the tent, exhausted, very tired, speaking normally, walking normally, no headache. They stayed 15-20 mins at C4. All went to C3 together and slept the same night there (27/09). Everyone was sleeping in the tents (3 tents): 1 with Sherpas, 1 for Adam couple, and 1 for the rest of the 3 in the team. In the evening Sherpas made hot water, food, etc. Bladyko was normal at that point. She was the first in the tent with Sherpas. She was speaking normally in the tent at night. 28/09 7 am when Bak awoke, he discovered that only he and Piotr were in the tent. When Bak went outside the tent, half meter from the tent Bladyko was sitting, frozen. Maybe she went out in the night to the toilet. She was dead. Communicated with base camp. Sherpas decided to leave her body in the sleeping bag in the tents, rest of team to descend to BC. 1 Oct SST communicated with Sherpas, who went to BC to C3 and took body to BC. 2nd Oct arrived maybe to BC. Then took body from BC by heli to Ktm on 3rd Oct. Oxygen: Used from C3, to summit, back to C3. Sherpas also. Back to BC on 28th Sept. Sherpas: Mingma Ongdi, 34 years Ming Dukpa Sherpa, 24/25 years Left BC on 29th Sept went to Samagaon, spent 2 nights there.
