Route Notes BC 09/09 4700m C1 11/09 5800m C2 20/09 6600m C3 25/09 6800m HPt 01/10 7200m by Holubarsch, Siefermann. Team was acclimatized well; however, when they were on their summit push they both felt very sick. They were intending to summit from C3 and left camp at 7 pm on 1 Oct. An hour earlier, they both had some food and during the climb up they both felt very ill and decided to turn back at 7200m at 10:30 pm. As they had carried their skis, they skied back to C3, where they arrived at 1:30 am. They slept for a while and on 2 Oct, they broke down C3, skied to C2; climbed down to C1, dismantled it and skied to BC. They arrived at BC at 4:30 pm on 2 Oct. They left BC on 4 Oct and trekked out to Arughat. The earthquake damage on the trail seemed to be Ok apart from a few sections which are very close to the river.
