Route Notes From http://www.manaslu2014.com Posted on 01/10/2014 Today, Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at 09.11 Nepalese time (7:24 am in the Collagna), Samuele has reached the summit of Manaslu at 8,163 meters. Ruffo has remained with him up to quota 7800 and then decide (bold choice, professional, but not easy) to rietrare to Camp 3 from where they left last night. At this time (10 am in Italy) Ruffo is already in tent in Camp 3 while Samuele is coming down to Camp 4 and will reach him soon to spend the night there. Posted on 09/30/2014 They're [Samuele and Ruffo] good, are in Camp 3 at 7000 meters. Posted on 09/20/2014 Camp 1 is all set and yesterday was also set up Camp 2 at 6400 meters, after a serac worthy of Everest, equipped with six stairs to be able to pass safely. Mauro, Ruffo and Sam are doing well after the night at high altitude and are determined to go back even further, to Camp 3, before descending again to the base camp.
