Route Notes BC 15/09 4850m C1 18/09 5750m C2 19/09 6400m C3 30/09 6850m C4 01/10 7400m Smt 02/10 at 9 am by Ismet Inan, Tshiring Jangbu. Summit team and Ivano Bianchi left C4 at 2:20 am. Weather was clear, cold and no wind. Straightforward climb. They spent about 20 minutes on the summit and descended to C2, where they arrived at 4 pm. The next day everyone was back at BC. Ivano Bianchi reached about 7600m on the summit push on 2 Oct. He had stomach problems for a while and could not carry on. He descended to C2, where he spent the night. Cesare Cesa Bianchi reached C1 on 18 Sept. He never intended to climb; he came as a non-climbing expedition leader. Spinelli reached C2 on 19 Sept. He had slight frostbite on his right foot and did not carry on. He stayed at BC for the rest of the expedition. Oxygen: Not taken, not used.
