Route Notes BC 11/09 4800m C1 15/09 5600m C2 18/09 6400m C3 24/09 6800m HPt 24/09 6800m by Bruckner, Fellner, Goger, Niederkofler, Schweiger, Tod. The team was on their summit push and stayed the night at C3 on 24 Sept. On 2 Sept it was very windy, so they decided to stay another night at C3. Neither Tod nor Niederkofler felt well and they were very altitude sick. On 26 Sept at 6 am, it was clear that both Niederkofler and Tod had to go down as they had not recovered. After discussing with the group they decided that everyone would descend. They left C3 at about 8 am and arrived at BC at 5 pm. The team had established all their own camps without help of Sherpas. On the way down they dismantled all the camps and brought all their rubbish down. Once they were back down, Niederkofler and Tod felt better. Nordstrom reached 5800m on 16 Sept. He was not strong enough to continue and remained at BC for rest of expedition. Oxygen: Not taken, not used.
