Route Notes BC 14 Sep 4930m C1 17 Sep 5650m C2 22 Sep 6650m C3 24 Sep 7450m Smt 25 Sept by Amon at 11:45 am, Groebner and Hechenberger at 3 pm Amon started from C2, where he left at 4:15 am. Straightforward climb in 7-1/2 hours. He stayed on the summit for about half an hour. He skied down from the mushroom rock to 6100m just above the icefall and then from 5900m to 5100m. He was back at BC at 4 pm. Groebner and Hechenberger left C4 at 8 am on 25 Sept. They stayed for about half an hour on the summit and skied down from the mushroom rock to C3, where they arrived at 4:30 pm. On 26 Sept they left C3 at 8 am and skied from C3 to C2, which they took down, then to 6100m to the top of the icefall and then skied again from 5900m to 5100m. They arrived back at BC at 2:30 pm. Leithner did not join the first summit attempt as he needed a few rest days. He started his summit attempt on 30 Sept (C2) and was at C3 on 1 Oct. On 2 Oct he left C3 at 6:25 am and reached 7800m at about 9 am. As it was very windy and the weather too bad, he abandoned his attempt and skied down to C2, which he took down. Then skied to 6100m and put them back on at 5900m and skied down to C1, where Amon and Hechenberger were taking down C1. They all arrived back at BC at 4 pm. Oxygen: Not taken, not used
