Route Notes	A low C2 was established at 6350m on 22 September. Those in the camp the next morning felt the wind created by a fatal avalanche, but it caused no damage to this team. However, those in the camp went down to BC and two left the team afterwards. Only one of the team's members got to the top. Two others also took part in the final summit push, which began on 27 September from BC to C1, on the 28th to C2, on the 29th to C3 and on the 30th tried for the summit. The summit party left C3 at 7000m for the top at 00:30 am of the 30th. They were Machhetto, Monaco and Vittorangeli, plus Phu Nuru Sherpa. But only Macchetto summited: he was on the top at 11:30 am and returned to C3 at 4:30 pm. Monaco reached 8000m, put on his skis and attempted a ski descent. Monaco skied down from 8000m to C3, and waited there for Macchetto to come safely off the summit. He then skied to C2 (6350m) at 5:30 pm and on 1 October skied from C2 for 150m, walked to C1 (5800m) and skied again to 5000m. A continuous ski descent is not possible because of many seracs. Vittorangeli got to 7750m, but then turned around to avoid getting frostbitten; Phu Nuru turned back with her. She descended to C2. Other members: Barbieri managed to get to only C1 on 14 September because of an old back problem; she left the team on the 28th. Bianchi went up to C1 on the 14th and C2 on the 22nd, then the fatal avalanche occured on the 23rd, and because of it he left the mountain on about the 28th. Cesa Bianchi also went up to C2 on the 22nd. He then developed a stomach problem and stayed in BC for the rest of the climbing period. Guido Spinelli joined the party going to C2 on the 22nd, but the fatal avalanche on the 23rd made him decide to leave. He took a helicopter to Kathmandu and went home.
