Route Notes On 23rd September, when the team was on its way to establish C3, they heard about the fatal avalanche that day, and all five members and Chhiri Dorje turned around and went down to BC. They all returned to C1 on the 27th and next day made C2 at last. On the 29th went up to C3 site for acclimatization and back to C2 the same day. On the 30th they skipped C3 and made C4. On 1 October all the members went to the summit, and with them were their three Sherpas. The party left C4 at 4:00 am, were on the top at 10:00 am, and descended to C2 at 6:00 pm. The five members used oxygen from C4 to the summit and back to C2. Their Sherpas used none.
