Route Notes Raymond got to the base camp and felt sick (stomach), so he abandoned the climb on the 17th. Celine got scared since one of her good friends had died on avalanche, so she quit 4 or 5 days after the avalanche with her Sherpa Thendorje. Robert left 6 days after the avalanche, he walked up to C1, but got scared so turned around as well. He went out in a helicopter with his Sherpa. Heather and Tatsuo Matsumoto left C4 at 1:40 am. Heather reached summit at 9:40 am without oxygen, spent 20 minutes on summit and left at 10:00 am. She reached C3 at 4:00 pm and slept there. They left C3 at 7 am (on descent) and arrived at BC at 12:00 pm.
