Route Notes High point on 10 May at 7785m by Carnevali and Kami Geljen Sherpa at 10:30 am. On 9 May Carnevali left C3 at 10:30 pm. He left together with Maurizion Giordani's group. The weather was cold and clear. Good snow conditions. When he reached the high point, the rope had not been fixed and his hands were very cold. He decided to turn around at 10:30 am and descended to C3. where he arrived at 4 pm. Carnevali noticed his frosbite on his right hand (index and third finger), but did not do anything about it at C3. On 11 May he descended to BC, where he arrived at 2 pm. The following day, Luis Stitzinger from Germany (DAV) came back from his summit attempt and gave him an injection for his frostbite.
