Route Notes Summit on 11 May by O'Dochartaigh at 2 pm. O'Dochartaigh left C3 at 11 pm on 10 May. The day started off very windy with clear skies; however, at midday the wind abated. Straightforward climb. He reached the true summit and maybe even a bit further than we normally reach in the post monsoon season. Guy Cotter was with him. He spent about 10 minutes on summit. On his ascent he met the two Iranians who have lost their friend (Naseri) and he helped them look for him for about 20 minutes. The two Iranian climbers were very tired and possibly a bit altitude sick. He gave them some dexamethasone, which made them feel better. Lucile got to 7600m on 11 May and turned back at around 8 am due to cold and fatigue. She was also worried that the daily wind and snow squalls would hamper my ability to return safely. She descended to C3, where she arrived at about noon and waited for O'Dochartaigh, who arrived there at about 5 pm after his summit success. They descended to BC on 12 May and flew from Samagaon to Kathmandu on 13 May. Oxygen: Not taken, not used
