Route Notes Bo Parfet - 26 April 2011 I traveled with Steve Marolt's group, shared base camp services with them, but was climbing on my own. I arrived at BC the same time they did (we shared a heli from Kathmandu), but I left much earlier than they did. I also almost got to my/our high camp (our Camp 3 but Russell Brice's's Camp 4) by myself, carrying skis. Then skied down to base camp and took a heli out. Bo Parfet - 25 April 2011 Can you please provide us with the details of your 2010 Manaslu expedition: The names and summit dates of any summiters: nobody made the summit. The names of any Sherpa climbing assistants above base camp: Can't remember, Kari Kobler would know. Our team had two Sherpa's. I kind-of had my own, but not really. The location and dates of your campsites: Base Camp (150 yards From Russell Brice's). Camp 1 (right near Kenton Cool's). Camp 2 (right near Kenton's camp 3). Camp 3 (right near Kenton's Camp 4). Arrival and departure dates from base camp: Not exactly sure, but I think we arrived at BC on Sept 18th, 2010. I departed Base Camp on Oct 1st, 2010. The reason for termination if you were not successful: I ran out of vacation days from work. Any notable route details of your team: We were trying to be the first American's to ski down the mountain. Jim Gile - 13 & 16 May 2011 Parfet initially climbed with the Marolt group, but then split off with Richard Bolt's team for his summit attempt on 27-29 Sept. Parfet turned around below C3 on 29 Sept, descended to BC, and left BC on 30 Sept for Samagaon to fly back to Kathmandu the next day. Parfet did not have his own Sherpa, but was assisted by Sherpas from the Marolt and Bolt teams.
