Route Notes Only two members, plus two Sherpas, occupied C3 on 3 October. Abraham, who is a nurse, had turned back at 5900m on 1 October to help a stricken Slovenian climber on Davo Karnicar's team get down to BC. (Earlier she had not been acclimatizing well and had descended to Samagaon on 19 September for two days.) David and Philippe Delmas and Laroche went to C3's site on 26 September on an acclimatization trip and descended to BC, where they remained until they left on 3 October, then took a helicopter from Samagaon to Kathmandu on the 5th. They were no longer interested in the climb. Thus only Hintzy and Vincent occupied C3 on 3 October with Phu Dorje and Then Dorje Sherpa. On the 4th snow started falling, and they returned to BC. The remaining members of the team left BC on the 5th, and strong wind began blowing on the 6th.
