Route Notes Lyons reached crampon point at 5100m on 19 Sept with Mingma and Pasang. They stayed one night and descended to BC. As Mingma and Pasang had been higher on the mountain (see below), Pasang decided that Lyons would not make it from C1 to C2 in one day. Lyons and Sherpas decided to abandon expedition due to much snow on 20 Sept. However, on 23 Sept Pasang and Mingma took Lyons to C1 to show him the snowy conditions and the tents that were buried in snow there. They stayed one night and descended to BC on 24 Sept. Mingma reached C2 at 6400m on 16 Sept to pitch the tent. He descended to C1 where Pasang was waiting for him. Both descended to BC to be with Lyons.
