| Route Notes | On May 12 Ross and Pema slept at C3. Ross had headache and decided to go down on 13th BC. Ross said there was not much time to well acclimatize. He also heard news about death of Sherpa [Gurung] on Manaslu. This discouraged him. Ross returned to Kathmandu on 23 May. Probably leaving on 25th May. Sherpa: Pema Sherpa, 28/8/73 (12/05/2030), Pathibhara-1, Ilam (not on Everest 2007 with Tashi Tenzing - different man, who told Tashi 21 May 2008 he did no climbing in spring 2007) |
