Route Notes Boehm, Bonnet and Haag left BC on 3 Oct at 11 pm. Weather was clear but windy. Snow was very deep. They were skinning up on skies. They skinned to C1 and then from C1 to 6200m. They skinned about 50 percent of the way and from 6200m to 6600m all the way. From there to high point, they used crampons as it was to steep. When they reached 7000m Bonnet decided that he would not make it to the summit and climbed up another sub-summit, which was at about 7100m. Boehm and Haag carried on, but when they got to their high point the avalanche danger was getting too high and the slope was too steep. They descended to BC on skies. Bonnet also skied down to BC. They arrived at BC at noon. On 5 Oct team dismantled BC and decided to leave. But as weather forecast was not too bad for the next few days, Haag and Boehm decided to stay with Swiss team (led by Michel Wirth). Bonnet and Rieger left on 5 Oct. On 6 Oct Boehm and Haag started another summit push but had to turn back after 500m as the snow was too deep and avalanche danger too high. On 8 Oct Boehm and Haag ascended to C1 to rescue their gear and gear of the Swiss Expedition. Rieger reached 6400m (C2) twice. However, he was never intending to climb to summit as he was cameraman of expedition.
