Route Notes C2 - team did not sleep there, they set up camp and descended same day. Stopped point at C2. Continuous snowfall prevented team from carrying on. The weight of the snow broke three tents, 2 at C1 and one in the deposit camp at 5000m where they stored their climbing gear. Paolo-Giovanni Mangili had symptoms of pulmonary edema at BC. He did not climb above BC and descended on 1st October. He flew back to Italy on 9th October. He took the approach route on his way out. The 5 remaining members came back via Larkya Pass and took a bus from Besisahar to KTM.
