Route Notes BC at 4800m normal site above Samagaon C3 at 6800m little below Col High point at 6920m slightly above C3 on way to ridge. 6920m highest point reached by any member when Navrsnik went there for photos on 26 April, but 2 Sherpas (1 USA Mazur and 1 Slovenian) to 7200m fixing rope. 26 April Pepevnik and Romih skied down from C3 to BC: plan had been to get to C3 in acclimatization climb, descend to BC and make summit push. 27th Navrsnik skied C3 to BC and 28th Debalak and Mlinor also C3 to BC on skis. Plan to rest at BC and start up on about 1 May for top. After 28 April seven days snowing so waited in BC for good weather. Up to C1 6 May Debalak and Mlinor to C1 and found 2-1/2m deep snow and the tent then buried under the snow; took 5 people (2 members and 3 Sherpas) 5 hours to dig out tent; slept then that night. During night again snowfall and again had to dig out and sleeping bags; wet-avalanche danger and 2 members went down and Sherpas stayed 1 day more. Next day evacuated camp and climb over. Higher camps probably also buried/destroyed and now no more time.
