Route Notes High point on NE Ridge. 27 April down to BC, Konishi and his Sherpa fell 70m at 6850m. Konishi's shoulder injured, but not badly, so down all the way to Samagaon on 30th for week's rest and full recovery. Back to BC 8 May. 9th to C1, 10th to C2, 11th to C3. In C3 Konishi stomach problem and 12th down to BC. 15 May start of long period of bad weather with rain at BC and snow above. 18 May to C2 direct, 19th to C3 and waited there 3 days in more bad weather, with much snow falling. 22nd to C1 and 23rd to BC (not to BC 22nd because snow too deep). 27th up to C2, 28th to C3, 29th to C4. Above C4 strong wind, so up only 100m and back to C4. 31st again strong wind and only to 7600m again (1 hour's climb above C4), so down to C2 and climb finished. 9-12 May Konishi stomach problem kept Konishi from making summit bid at time other teams going for it.
