| Route Notes | C2 with Norwegians, much higher than normal sites C3 at 7500m in Norwegians tent on north plateau. Aleksov did almost no climbing (as above). Lock climbed with Norwegian team, going to C2 wth them on 9 April and staying with them all the way to summit on 21 April. Had his own tent at C2 but was invited by Norwegians to stay in their tent on 20 April for summit push next day; it was a very crowded tent that night. In descent got lost for 2 hours descending to C2 by a shortcut on 21st but finally found camp well after dark (had head lamp). 23rd BC to Samagaon for helicopter to KTM so he could rush over to climb Lhotse on Henry Todd's permit by flight to Lukla on 30 April. |
