| Route Notes | BC 19/04 4800m ABC 21/04 5700m C1 25/04 6100m C2 28/05 6400m C3 12/05 7500m C4 13/05 7700m Smt 15/05 by Lakpa Sherpa, MetCalfe, Warner, Chhiring Sherpa at 7:30 am. 15/05 summit team left C4 at 10 pm on 14/05. The ropes were fixed by 3 Sherpas from SST, 1 from Pioneer and Ang Dorje on 14/05. Weather was perfect. Conditions perfect. Straightforward climb. They spent about 15 minutes on the summit and descended to C3, where they arrived at 4 pm. On 16/05, back to ABC. Rope-fixing Sherpas left C4 at 9 pm on 13/05 and summited on 7 am. After the summit they returned to C4, where Ang Dorje arrived at 11 am. Seagram and Chhiring Sherpa reached 6800m. She had been suffering from a cold all the way through the expedition and was too weak to continue. Warner left ABC on 18/05 by helicopter. MetCalfe left ABC on 20/05 by helicopter. Seagram, Lakpa Sherpa and Chhiring left ABC on 25/05 by helicopter. Oxygen: Used from 7000m to top to C3 by Warner, MetCalfe and Sherpas. |
