| Route Notes | ABC 14/09 5700m (by heli) C1 19/09 6200m C2 20/09 6500m C3 29/09 7500m C4 30/09 7650m HPt 01/10 8300m at foot of French couloir by Kumaran, Jamling Bhote, Gao Xiao-Dan Climb abandoned on 1 Oct due to lack of rope, deep snow conditions. Team l left BC on 4 Oct (heli flights to Thyangboche, Lukla, then Ktmdu). Kumaran acclimatized in Khumbu (Sundar peak, Tashi Lapcha pass) High Point day (1 Oct): started from C4 at midnight, high point at 2:30-3 pm, back to C4 at 5:30 pm. Fixed rope: from C4 upwards to the glacier were fixed lines. Then fixed again up to 50m below 8300m. Then because no more fixed ropes, attempt stopped there.
