Route Notes ABC 21/04 5600m C1 24/04 6100m C2 29/04 6650m C3 08/05 7450m HPt 10/05 8445m by Gordon, Jarrin, Nobuo, Castillo Lofthouse, Pemba Nuru at 9 am (they stopped on the false summit at the end of the French couloirs as the rope was not fixed). Gordon, Jarrin and Nobuo, who were using oxygen, left C3 at midnight while Castillo Lofthouse (no O2) had left a 10:45 pm. Conditions were good, but there was lot snowdrift in the couloirs. Straightforward climb. Gordon, Jarrin and Nobuo caught up with Castillo Lofthouse just before the French Couloir. They climbed for a while together and then they headed off. However, due to the slow movement in the couloirs, Castillo Lofthouse managed to catch up with them again just below the summit. They spent about 20 minutes on the false summit and descended to ABC. Gordon and Jarrin arrived at 9:30 pm, and Noubu and Castillo Lofthouse at 8 pm. Oxygen: Used from below C3 to high point to C2 by Gordon, Jarrin, Nobuo and Pemba Nuru Castillo Lofthouse did not use oxygen.
