Route Notes	BC 11/04 5100m ABC 14/04 5630m C1 24/04 6400m C2 25/04 6600m C3 16/05 7400m C4 17/05 7550m Smt 18/05 by Gatta, Pasang Gombu at 6 am. Gatta and Pasang Gombu left C4 at 9:10 pm on 17 May. Weather was good. When they got to the French Couloir, they found the 6 mm rope that was fixed by Dorjee Sherpa from Peak Promotion. The rope finished at the top of the French Couloir. They carried on across the wide ridge onto the false summit and then onto the summit without fixed rope. They summited at 6 am. They spent about half an hour on top and then descended to C3, where they arrived at 9:30 am. They met Al Hancock and Monique Richard back on the wide ridge. They descended to ABC on 19 May. Oxygen: Taken and used from C3 to summit to C3 by Gatta and Pasang Gombu. Sherpas: Pasang Gombu, Lokhim, Solu, 28/12/1969 [rechk biodata] Team intended to try Lhotse after Makalu, but cancelled due to Everest avalanche.
