Route Notes	Blair and Pemba Nuru left C4 at 4 am on 24th May. The weather was very bad, it was snowing and they had to wade through knee-deep snow. At the base of the French Couloir they met Marty Schmidt and they climbed together from this point. The conditions seemed to be very dangerous and when the team and Marty Schmidt reached the bottom of the false summit it was already 2 pm. Falahey did not like the look of the ridge that went over to the false summit. Marty Schmidt carried on and Pemba Nuru and Falahey watched him cross the ridge for about an hour and then turned back. They descended to C4, where they arrived at 5:30 pm. When they reached C4, there was a Ukrainian climber in their tent. The following day, they descended to ABC. It took them about 8 hours. They broke down all the camps on the way down. Falahey says he had missed the weather window by one day and he believes that he would have summited on 23rd May.
