Route Notes BC at SSW of Main peak C1 on ridge southeast of West Peak C2 at snow field C3 on SW Ridge High point at 6100m on SW Ridge. After C2 established, tried to reach SW Ridge but too much of snowfall and retreated from this route which was one actually used on 16th Oct. Reached ridge on 15th at 5940m, but from there up ridge is knifed and "no walking" so next day reached ridge higher up and there put C3. 16th Oct to 18th Oct, much new snowfall and "no moving" (stayed in C3). 19th Oct good weather but snow "bad" and food and fuel finished and time limit (Oct 20). 19th Oct went up ridge towards top "snow sliding" so attempt abandoned. Also sirdar injured. 3rd to 16th Oct also much snowfall during route making period burying new fixed ropes. Left BC 22 Oct.
Accidents Sirdar Kirki injured knee Oct 19 in snow slide and could no longer climb (2 members helped him down, now OK); no other casualties
