Route Notes Yamazaki - 20 Oct 81 Arrived BC 4400m 2 October C1 5350m 5 October at South Col C2 not made; knife ridge. Reached 5880m going towards point 6145m on a ridge by Abesawa and Kami Tshering of Phakding, member, on 9th Oct. Very difficult to fix rope. Next expedition should approach from North. Left BC 13th Oct. All OK, no accidents. All arrived KTM 19 Oct. Yamazaki - 10 Sept 81 Leave KTM 24 Sept. Approach via Trisuli Bazar, Trisuli River, Langtang Khola. Arrive BC 30 Oct at 4500m. Route = S Ridge but know very little about this virgin mountain; no recce. Summit 15 to 18th Oct. 2 camps above BC: C1 - 5000m C2 - 5600m 3 Nepali members: Sherpas; no high altitude porters; oxygen medical only. Nepali members: Ang Kami, 27, Namche (was on Spanish Jannu) Kami Tshering, Phakding Lhakpa, Khumjung 2 Japanese members here now; 1 other arrive KTM 20th Sept.
