Route Notes C2 at Western Cwm. 1st summit bid at 7:00 pm 6 May on beautiful day but not enough strength and turned back at C3 (7400m) at 2:00 am; Georges and Sierro slept at C3 in Ochoa's tent while Berclaz back to Cwm. Then one week of strong wind and one tent at Cwm broken by wind. Left BC 16th from C2 at 6:30 pm, all 3 members up for summit. Sierro slightly sick so quickly retreated and down to BC. Berclaz toes freezing and turned back at yellow band at 7700m. Ochoa (Spaniard) made route and Georges came after him until he slowed down because of serious eye problem and Georges continued to top of right summit in beautiful, clear weather at 11:30 am and slept in C2.
