Route Notes	C1 deposit only C2 at moraine in Cwm C3 on West Face. C3 very low because seracs moving so for protection had to keep it low. Slept twice in C3: 1 and 7th Oct and 10th left BC at 8:00 am, arrived top 2:00 pm on 11th with few hours rest in C2 and 1 hour rest in C3. Very cold and had to protect nose with hand from cold wind. Moro to top with Chamoux from C2; also from C2 was Mondinelli of scientific expedition (Da Polenza) and Pawlowski from his C4 above yellow band (7600m) Wagnon tried for summit on 13th but stopped at 7600m by wind. No one from this team went to S Col while this team was climbing Lhotse. * Moro said 21 Oct 1994 that Moro, Mondinelli and Pawlowski went to summit together at 12:00 noon, Chamoux at 3:00 pm but Chamoux said 18th Jan 1995 the 2 Italians stopped below summit and Pawlowski said 10 May 1995 same thing.
