Route Notes BC at 5250m very close to Polish camp Biv1 on South Face Biv2 on South Face Biv3 on South Face. First to Island Peak and then after bad weather; Fauquet, Fine and Martine about 19 Oct on top of it. 23 Oct Fauquet and Fine started up Lhotse and climbed unroped to 7250m by 25th; on 25th saw Pole falling to his death and Facquet wanted to stop; there was falling rock. 26th Oct to BC and Facquet left the mountain while Fine joined Poles. 29th Fine up with Poles on their ropes and in their camps and on 31st in their C6. On 1 Nov should have gone up to fix ropes about 8200m but Fine too cold and Poles deciding to abandon climb. Fine reached 8050m on 1 Nov and then down off the mountain. Had gone weather and mild wind while on Lhotse; little snow.
