| Route Notes | Report from Valentyn Sypavin: BC 25/04 5350m C1 30/04 6000m C2 01/05 6440m C3 12/05 7075m C4 13/05 7900m Smt 14/05 by Aleksieieva, Dawa Tenzing, Sypavin, Lhakpa Ongchuk Sherpa, Diachenko, Mingma Tenzing, Kryvosheia, Sanu Sherpa at 7:33 am; Kalashnykov, Phurba Sherpa, Kostiukevych, Phurba Sherpa at 8:15 am. Smt 15/05 by Musayeva and Dawa Sherpa at 9:11 am. 14/05 summit team left C4 at 9:30 am. Not so many people on the route. Good conditions and good weather. Team spent about 40 minutes on the summit and Kalashniykov and Kostiukevych with the two Phurba Sherpa descended to C2. Kostiukevych had intended to climb Lhotse as well but he did not feel well and decided to descend. He was evacuated by heli from C2 directly to Lukla on 15/05. He was altitude sick. The reason why Musayeva summited a day late was that she only arrived at C4 at approximately 6 pm and she did not have enough time to rest. She left C4 at 4 pm on 14/04. After the summit on 15/05, Musayeva and Dawa descended to C4 where they arrived at 2:30 pm. They stayed there until the evening of 16/05. They summited Lhotse on 17/05 at 10:23 am and descended to C2 where they arrived at 10pm on 17/05. After summiting Everest, Aleksieieva and Dawa Tenzing Sherpa descended to C4 where they arrived at 9:30 am. They rested for only two hours and at 12 noon started their ascent towards Lhotse. Summit on 14/05 at 7:32 pm. After Lhotse summit, they descended to Lhotse C4 and stayed the night there. Sypavin, Lhakpa Ongchuk Sherpa, Diachenko, Mingma Tenzing, Kryvosheia, Sanu Sherpa, Plotnykov left Everest C4 at 11:20 pm for Lhotse. Lhotse summits: 14/05 at 7:32 pm by Aleksieieva and Dawa Tenzing. 15/05 at 8:00 am by Sypavin, Lhakpa Ongchuk Sherpa, Diachenko, Mingma Tenzing, Kryvosheia, Sanu Sherpa, Plotnykov. 15/05 summit team descended to C2 where they arrived between 3 pm and 4:30 pm. 17/05 summit by Musayeva and Dawa Sherpa at 10:23 am Aviation-assisted Kostiukevych was evacuated by heli on 15/05 due to AMS. Team left BC on 17/05 by heli. Oxygen: Taken and used from C3 to top to C2 by Diachenko, Sypavin, Kryvosheia, Kalashnykov, Plotnykov; other members from C2 to top to C2; Sherpa from C3 to top to C3. |
