| Route Notes | BC 22/04 5350m C1 -- 5900m C2 01/05 6400m C3 03/05 7000m C4 17/05 7900m Ever Smt 18/05 by Leal, Lhakpa Chhiri Sherpa, Lhakpa Wangchu Sherpa at 8:45 am. Everest summit team left C4 at 11 pm on 17/05. Straightforward climb. They spent half an hour on the summit. It was windy. They descended to C4 where they arrived at 1 pm. On 20/05 they left C4 at 2 am. They descended to Lhotse C4, spent 10 minutes there and ascended Lhotse. Lhotse smt 20/05 by Leal, Lhakpa Chhiri, Lhakpa Wangchu, Lhakpa Chhiring at 8:50 am. They spent 30 minutes on the summit and descended to Lhotse C4, where they arrived at 1 pm. They rested for about 30 minutes and continued to C2 at 5 pm. Ancieta reached C2 on 01/05. He was too tired to continue and abandoned the climb. Team left BC on 22/05 by heli. Oxygen: Taken and used from C3 to summit to C3. |
